Haugland’s Autism Intervention Center

At Haugland’s Autism Intervention Center (“AIC”) in Dublin, Ohio, we provide comprehensive autism early intervention instruction based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis, including Discrete Trial Teaching, Natural Environment Teaching, Direct Instruction and B.F. Skinner’s Analysis of Verbal Behavior.

All autism early interventions are based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Applied Behavior Analysis is the only treatment approach with scientific evidence to support the effectiveness. It involves the application of scientifically-validated behavioral interventions that are socially significant and the continuous evaluation of the treatment progress and clinical decision-making based upon data collection.

Autism Early Intervention Program Overview

We provide full day services (8:30am – 2:30pm), and half day services (8:30am – 11:30am or 11:30am – 3:30pm) with low student-to-teacher ratios that maximize individualized attention throughout the day. Because our students require precise instruction specific to their own strengths and deficits, we also provide many 1:1 opportunities throughout the day, as well as after school to learn new skills. At the AIC, we believe in providing positive reinforcement for desired student behaviors, building the foundation for a lifetime of happy learning by our students.

When admitted to the Autism Intervention Center, a child will undergo a comprehensive skill assessment to help guide his or her appropriate classroom placement, as well as for the selection of individualized treatment goals. Treatment goals for each child may consist of discrete trial teaching, incidental teaching, and/or other naturalistic intervention approaches.
